Russian naval ships sent to Indian Ocean, preparing for regular presencein Horn of Africa area
MOSCOW. Dec 10 (Interfax-AVN) – A unit of Pacific Fleet ships led
by the anti-submarine ship Admiral Vinogradov has left for the Arabian
Sea and the Indian Ocean, Igor Dygalo, an aide to the Russian Navy’s
commander-in-chief, told Interfax.
“The unit will take part in the Russian-Indian naval training
together with the cruiser Peter the Great,” Dygalo said.
“Simultaneously, the Navy commander-in-chief’s decision on regular
presence in the Horn of Africa area is being realized,” Dygalo said.
