SECRET WARTIME experiments were conducted off the New Zealand coast to perfect a bomb that could trigger devastating tidal waves, according to government files declassified in Auckland.

The New Zealand Herald, citing the files, said that senior United States defence officials believed the weapon had the potential to be as deadly as the atomic bomb. But the tsunami bomb, as it was known, was never fully tested and the war ended before the project was completed.

Its mastermind was Thomas Leech, an Australian professor who as the dean of engineering at Auckland University from 1940 to 1950. He was seconded to the New Zealand Army during the Second World War. He set off a series of underwater explosions that triggered mini tidal waves at Whangaparaoa, just north of Auckland, in 1944 and 1945.

Details of the research, known as Project Seal, are contained in 53- year-old documents released by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

The papers, stamped “Top Secret”, show that America and Britain were keen for Seal to be developed in the postwar years. They even considered sending Professor Leech to Bikini Atoll to watch the US nuclear tests and see if they had any application to his work.

In the end, he did not make the visit, although Dr Karl Compton, a member of the US board of assessors of nuclear tests, was sent to New Zealand to meet him.

In July 1946, a letter from Washington to Wellington Defence Headquarters stated: “Dr Compton is impressed with Professor Leech’s deductions on the Seal Project and is prepared to recommend to the Joint Chiefs of Staff that all technical data from the test, relevant to the Seal Project, should be made available to the New Zealand government for further study.”

The announcement in 1947 that he had been awarded a CBE for weapons research led to speculation in some newspapers outside New Zealand about the nature of the work that he had been conducting. No details were released about it at the time because the project was still under way.

Neil Kirton, a former colleague of Professor Leech, told the New Zealand Herald that the experiments involved laying a pattern of explosives underwater to create a tidal wave.

Small-scale explosions were set off in the Pacific and off Whangaparaoa, which was controlled by the army at the time. Mr Kirton said he doubted whether people living in Auckland at the time would have noticed the trials.

What happened to Project Seal once the final report was forwarded to Wellington in the late 1940s is not clear.

Mr Kirton said: “If it could ever be resurrected, under some circumstances I think it could be devastating.”

BEIJING: China will make its biggest-ever effort to control the weather and prevent rain washing out festivities marking the 60th anniversary of communist rule, state media said on Wednesday.

China’s air force will deploy 18 aircraft to spray cloud dispersal chemicals into the atmosphere around Beijing, while “48 fog dispersal vehicles” will use similar technology at airports around the capital, the Global Times reported.

“It is the first time in Chinese history that artificial weather modification on such (a) large scale has been attempted,” the paper quoted Cui Lianqing, an air force meteorologist, as saying.

“There are still a lot of uncertainties with the weather, and sometimes people can’t work against nature… but we are trying our best.”

China is planning a massive parade, song and dance performances and fireworks at Tiananmen Square on October 1 to mark the day when revolutionary leader Mao Zedong proclaimed the state’s founding in 1949.

Clear weather is especially important for the military parade, which will include a flyover by the nation’s most advanced fighter jets, the report said.

The capital made similar efforts for the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympics when over 1,100 “rain dispersal rockets” were fired into the skies to break up clouds around the Bird’s Nest National Stadium.

In addition to air force efforts, the Beijing Weather Modification Office is also prepared to implement similar cloud dispersal measures ahead of October 1, Xinhua news agency has reported.

Remote satellite technology will be employed to help monitor weather changes and adjust modification measures, the report said.

Weather records show that there is a 30 per cent chance of rain on October 1, but precipitation has been light on most recent National Days, it added.

Meeting in L’Aquila, Italy, the Group of Eight Industrialized Nations (G8) have evidently determined that weather control is within their grasp. As reported by the AP, the G8 nations have agreed to keeping the world’s average temperature from rising more than 2 degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit).

What if the planet choses not to cooperate? It has a history of not cooperating.

There are some things we know from basic elementary and secondary education that we don’t need advanced degrees and years of study to determine. We know, for instance, that around 10,000 years ago the planet was much colder than it is today. How do we know that? Anthropologists tell us that a land bridge existed at that time between Asia and North America. For a land bridge to exist, the ice caps had to be thicker then than they are today so it had to be colder then – lots colder.

Ancestors of today’s native Americans walked across that strip of land to populate both North and South America. 10,000 years is a long time from a human being’s perspective but, considering that the earth is upwards of four billion years old, it’s a mere eye blink in geological time.

800 to 1,200 years ago the planet was warmer than it is today. How do we know that? Vikings sailed west from Iceland and colonized Greenland around the 10th century AD. At the time, Greenland was an appropriate name for the place – not so today. From Wikipedia: “[I]t (is) possible to state that areas of Greenland may have been much warmer during the medieval period than it is now ”. Viking settlements thrived in Greenland for 500 years, then the world grew colder with the Little Ice Age and the Vikings left Greenland.

Bill Gates, one of the most powerful men on the planet, appears to be taking on one of Mother Earth’s most fearsome forces: the hurricane.

An application filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Jan. 3, 2008, lists Gates and 12 others as the inventors of a number of methods to control and prevent hurricanes.

“Billions of dollars of destruction and damage is regularly attributable to hurricanes and hurricane-like tropical storms,” the document says. “Thus, great interest has arisen in controlling these powerful storms.”

The document goes on to describe a process of using fleets of vessels to mix warm water from the surface of the ocean with colder water from greater depths in an effort to cool the surface of the water.

Hurricanes draw their strength from condensation driven by heat. That condensation leads to higher wind speeds. By cooling the surface of the ocean, the plan attempts to sap energy from growing hurricanes.

The filings were submitted by Searete LLC, a sub-entity of Intellectual Ventures, a Bellevue, Wash.-based invention acquisition and development firm founded by former Microsoft chief technology officer Nathan Myhrvold.

A spokeswoman for the company declined to elaborate on the patent application but confirmed that Microsoft chairman Bill Gates was involved in the weather modification plan.

She said Intellectual Ventures, which holds about 27,000 patents for technologies spanning multiple industries, didn’t expect the patent to be approved for at least another 18 months.

But Gates and his partners are hardly the first to set their sights on the sky.

“Some people sometimes don’t have a grasp of the magnitude or the power of hurricanes,” said Moshe Alamaro, a research scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. “The power of a hurricane is at least the power of all the electric power plants in the world combined.”

Still, despite the probable impossibility of actually stopping a hurricane, Alamaro doesn’t criticize those for trying. (In fact, he has proposed his own plan for taming hurricanes.)

Indian scientists are flying through storm clouds as part of a new plan to seed them with rain-inducing chemicals to try to control the timing of the annual monsoon, whose late arrival is causing havoc this year.

As Britain sweltered in temperatures of up to 32C (90F), the late monsoon means that India is suffering temperatures as high as 49C, which have caused severe crop damage, water and power shortages, and at least 100 deaths.

In Delhi some residents have been sleeping in their air-conditioned cars — with engines running — during power cuts of up to 12 hours a day. The government of the southern state of Andhra Pradesh has ordered all churches, mosques and Hindu temples to pray for rain.

The crisis illustrates how vulnerable India remains to the elements, especially the monsoon, which dominates the lives of the estimated 740 million people living in the countryside.

WASHINGTON — The president’s new science adviser said Wednesday that global warming is so dire, the Obama administration is discussing radical technologies to cool Earth’s air.

John Holdren told the Associated Press in his first interview since being confirmed last month that the idea of geoengineering the climate is being discussed. One such extreme option includes shooting pollution particles into the upper atmosphere to reflect the sun’s rays. Mr. Holdren said such an experimental measure would only be used as a last resort.

“It’s got to be looked at,” he said. “We don’t have the luxury of taking any approach off the table.”

Mr. Holdren outlined several “tipping points” involving global warming that could be fast approaching. Once such milestones are reached, such as complete loss of summer sea ice in the Arctic, it increases chances of “really intolerable consequences,” he said.

Twice in a half-hour interview, Mr. Holdren compared global warming to being “in a car with bad brakes driving toward a cliff in the fog.”

At first, Mr. Holdren characterized the potential need to technologically tinker with the climate as just his personal view. However, he went on to say he has raised it in administration discussions.

Mr. Holdren, a 65-year-old physicist, is far from alone in taking geoengineering more seriously. The National Academy of Science is making climate tinkering the subject of its first workshop in its new multidiscipline climate challenges program. The British parliament has also discussed the idea.

The American Meteorological Society is crafting a policy statement on geoengineering that says “it is prudent to consider geoengineering’s potential, to understand its limits and to avoid rash deployment.”

Last week, Princeton scientist Robert Socolow told the National Academy that geoengineering should be an available option in case climate worsens dramatically.

But Mr. Holdren noted that shooting particles into the air — making an artificial volcano as one Nobel laureate has suggested — could have grave side effects and would not completely solve all the problems from soaring greenhouse gas emissions. So such actions could not be taken lightly, he said.

Still, “we might get desperate enough to want to use it,” he added.

Another geoengineering option he mentioned was the use of so-called artificial trees to suck carbon dioxide — the chief human-caused greenhouse gas — out of the air and store it. At first that seemed prohibitively expensive, but a re-examination of the approach shows it might be less costly, he said.

Could a strange substance found by an Ark-La-Tex man be part of secret government testing program? That’s the question at the heart of a phenomenon called “Chemtrails.” In a KSLA News 12 investigation, Reporter Jeff Ferrell shows us the results of testing we had done about what’s in our skies.
“It seemed like some mornings it was just criss-crossing the whole sky. It was just like a giant checkerboard,” described Bill Nichols. He snapped several photos of the strange clouds from his home in Stamps, in southwest Arkansas. Nichols said these unusual clouds begin as normal contrails from a jet engine. But unlike normal contrails, these do ‘not’ fade away.
Soon after a recent episode he saw particles in the air. “We’d see it drop to the ground in a haze,” added Nichols. He then noticed the material collecting on the ground.
“This is water and stuff that I collected in bowls. I had it sitting out in my backyard in my dad’s pick-up truck,” said Nichols as he handed us a mason jar in the KSLA News 12 parking lot back in September after driving down from Arkansas.
KSLA News 12 had the sample tested at a lab. The results: A high level of barium, 6.8 parts per million, (ppm). That’s more than three times the toxic level set by the Environmental Protection Agency, or EPA.
Armed with these lab results about the high levels of barium found in our sample, we decided to contact the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality. They told us that, ‘yes,’ these levels are very unusual. But at the same time they added the caveat that proving the source is a whole ‘nother matter.
We discovered during our investigation that Barium is a hallmark of other chemtrail testing. This phenomenon even attracted the attention of a Los Angeles network affiliate, which aired a report entitled, “Toxic Sky?”
There’s already no shortage of unclassified weather modification programs by the government. But those who fear chemtrails could be secret biological and chemical testing on the public point to the 1977 U.S. Senate hearings which confirmed 239 populated areas had been contaminated with biological agents between 1949 and 1969. Later, the 1994 Rockefeller Report concluded hundreds of thousands of military personnel were also subjected to secret biological experiments over the last 60-years.
But could secret testing be underway yet again? “I’d rather it be something inert and you know something that’s not causing any damage but I’d like to know what it is,” concluded Nichols.
KSLA News 12 discovered chemtrails are even mentioned by name in the initial draft of HR 2977 back in 2001, under the Space Preservation Act. But the military denies any such program exists.
It turns out, until just nine years ago the government had the right, under U.S. law, to conduct secret testing on the American public, under specific conditions. Only a public outcry repealed part of that law, with some “exceptions.”
Mark Ryan, Director of the Poison Control Center, explained that short term exposure to barium can lead to anything from stomach to chest pains, with long-term exposure causing blood pressure problems.
Ryan addressed concerns by chemtrail researchers that barium could be meant to wear down a person’s immune system. “Anything that causes ill effects on the body long-term, chronically, is going to affect your ability, it’s just constantly working on the body. So from that aspect yeah it’s a potential.”
Ryan told us he’s conducted research of his own about secret government testing on the public. But he’s still a bit skeptical about chemtrails at the moment, especially considering that his Poison Control Center has seen no calls about barium exposure.

This documentary produced by chemtrail researcher Clifford Carnicom is a must see and an excellent research tool. Five plus years into the operations has provided ample evidence in this 90min DVD that covers many topics. Over the years aerosol/chemtrail research has provided some leads but even more questions as to who and why the spraying occurs. It is clear jets are deliberately spraying the sky’s and it will not stop until enough people are aware and willing to stand up for the operations exposure and termination.

FPI – HURRICANE KYLE MOVING IN COLD WATER? INDICATION OF WEATHER CONTROL?

A blast of microwave energy beamed down from a space satellite could be used to tame the destructive nature of a tornado, a scientist said this week.

The proposal calls for beaming microwave energy into the cold, rainy downdraft of a thunderstorm where a tornado could originate. That pulse of power would disrupt the convective flow needed to concentrate energy that forms a tornado, said Bernard Eastlund, president of Eastlund Scientific Enterprises Corp, based in San Diego, California.

“If it does prove possible to prevent tornadoes,” Eastlund continued, “then systems could be envisioned in which severe storm phenomena such as hurricanes and typhoons are also modified in some beneficial fashion, and weather modification could be routine in the 21st century.”

“Catarina was a very unusual system for the Brazilian region,” Dr Pezza says.

CYCLONE: a storm or system of winds that rotates about a center of low atmospheric pressure, advances at a speed of 20 to 30 miles (about 30 to 50 kilometers) an hour, and often brings heavy rain

TYPHOON: a hurricane occurring especially in the region of the Philippines or the China sea.

Hurricane Vince was the twentieth named storm of the Atlantic Hurricane Season, AND AN ODDITY AMONG TROPICAL DISTURBANCES. Vince formed in an area of relatively high shear and VERY LOW SEA SURFACE TEMPERATURES —ranging from 23-24 degrees C—but still managed to acquire tropical characteristics at 11 AM EDT on 9 October.

Vince developed from a non-tropical low that had meandered around the northeastern Atlantic for a few days. Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center decided to hold off on issuing advisories for this system because of the unfavorable locations, and peculiar location of the disturbance. At 11 AM EDT on 9 October, forecasters began issuing advisories on the system and gave it a name—Vince. The development of this tropical system defied general assumptions by the weather community that Sea Surface Temperatures had to be at least 26-5 degrees C (80 degrees F) for any development to occur. In this case, SSTs were a chilly 23-24 degrees C.

Vince continued on this weakening trend as he edged closer to Portugal and Spain, and finally made landfall on the Iberian Peninsula (THE FIRST TROPICAL CYCLONE TO DO SO IN RECORDED HISTORY) near Huelva, Spain early on 11 October as a Tropical Depression.
